Fused glass plates and bowls are both both decorative and functional—safe for serving food. Those with a metallic finish are made of iridized glass, which has a very thin layer of tin applied by the manufacturer in the making of the glass. These are also food safe, although not microwave friendly. For a smooth finish, the surface is fused with a clear piece of glass. Design styles included here—thread, mosaic, dichroic dot, right angle, harlequin, square-on-square, rectangle, and stripes—are available in various mold shapes and sizes. |
